Plutus Perks is an additional money-saving feature that rewards holders of our native token, Pluton (PLU). To avoid confusion, there are currently two reward features available:
Pluton Rewards allows Premium/Pro accounts to earn 3% of every valid purchase back in crypto (PLU) – this is earned at all 60+ million merchants that the Visa Plutus Card is accepted at (both online and in-store).
Plutus Perks allows Premium/Pro users to stake their PLU for a Premium/Pro subscription or additional rewards at selected online retailers such as Amazon, Nike, Sky, and many more.
How Does Plutus Perks Work?
The aim of Plutus Perks is to reward holders of PLU. The more PLU you stake, the more benefits you will unlock.
There are five levels for you to unlock, each with increasingly higher staking requirements, but increasingly more attractive retail brands and deeper discounts.
Note: Reaching a Level will not necessarily unlock all the Perks within it, there are sub-requirements within each level to ensure you are constantly unlocking additional benefits as your staked PLU holding rises.
This article will outline each of the Perks available.
Example of Rewards
Firstly, let's run through an example of how the reward works.
Level 1
Nike is a Level 1 Perk locked behind a staking requirement of 50 PLU. If a user stakes 50 PLU, they are then eligible for an additional 4% in fiat cashback to their account balance, on top of the standard 3% Pluton Reward, for any purchases at Nike - bringing the total reward earnings up to 7%. The additional reward varies from Perk to Perk.
You can find these details by clicking on a brand within your Perks Dashboard and viewing the side panel that appears. In order to view these perks, you will first have to unlock them via External Staking, please see the video below to learn how it works, as well as our HelpDesk guide for more details.
With the introduction of our new staking-based subscription model on February 19th, 2021, we have allowed our users to stake a sufficient amount of PLU in order to get access to our Premium and Pro membership levels - without any monthly fees!
In order to get your account upgraded, you need to stake:
In order for us to verify the stake properly, there is a safety period of 21 days that begins when you connect your wallet to the Perks tab (as per our External Staking guide) or when you reach a sufficient amount of PLU Rewards in your account.
Alternatively, there is a way to upgrade your account by paying a flat monthly fee of 9.99 GBP/EUR for a Premium account or 16.99 GBP/EUR for a Pro one.

Level 1 — Fashion & Retail (1 PLU)
If you meet the PLU staking requirements that are in brackets, then you will immediately have access to view or unlock all the fashion & retail brands in the category.
Gant (1 PLU)
Various Categories: 5% (GBP/EUR)
Save 5% in cashback on top of the 3% PLU reward across a range of clothing and homeware items.
Nike UK (50 PLU)
Various Categories: 4% (GBP/EUR)
Whilst there is the occasional exception, you can earn a massive 4% on the majority of Nike products as a Level 1 user, giving you a total of 7% back in cash and crypto rewards.
Ralph Lauren (50 PLU)
All Products: 3.5% (GBP/EUR)
Enjoy a total of 6.5% in rewards across all Ralph Lauren products if you reside within the supported countries.
Level 2 — Goods & Entertainment (100 PLU)
If you meet the PLU staking requirements that are in brackets, then you will immediately have access to view or unlock brands in the Goods & Entertainment category.
Selected Items: £10 - £40 (Fixed Amount)
Whilst Smart Tech carries a 5% reward, the majority of items are a fixed payout. New Vodafone customers can enjoy savings up to £40 on top of the standard 3% back in crypto!
Sky UK (100 PLU)
Selected Items: £20 - £70 (Fixed Amount)
UK shoppers could earn up to £70 cashback on selected purchases, on top of their usual 3% crypto reward.
Lenovo (200 PLU)
Various Categories: 2.3% (GBP/EUR)
Additional cash reward of as high as 2.3% across most product types. Varies by geographical location.
Logitech (200 PLU)
Various Categories: 6.15% (GBP/EUR)
Earn huge savings across thousands of tech products. This is one of our greatest savers that totals 9.15% in rewards once the usual 3% Pluton Reward is applied.
Geek Buying (250 PLU)
Various Categories: 2% - 8% (GBP/EUR)
Geek Buying includes a wide range of products, spending here could amount to savings of 11% once the 3% Pluton Reward is added.
Zavvi (250 PLU)
Various Categories: 0.5% - 8% (GBP/EUR)
Zavvi varies greatly by category but offers some great percentage discounts as high as 8% on top of the standard 3% awarded by Plutus. Plutus Card shoppers can also grab a fixed £5 in cashback on ZBOX subscriptions.
AliExpress (250 PLU)
All Products: +0.5% (PLU)
This applies to all products and is one of the few Perks paid in PLU bringing your total to 3.5% in rewards.
Carphone Warehouse (300 PLU)
Details to be announced soon.
Wilko (350 PLU)
All Products: 2% (GBP/EUR)
Wilko’s covers a heap of home accessories from which you can earn an additional 2% reward on top of the standard 3% in crypto you receive back from your Plutus card!
Amazon (350 PLU)
All Products: +0.5% (PLU)
Amazon covers tens of thousands of products, this comes on top of the usual 3% PLU reward meaning you could earn 3.5% in savings across a long list of items.
Level 3—Travel & Tourism (500 PLU)
Due to the worldwide health crisis and restrictions to the hospitality industry as a whole, this Level and all its contained Perks are currently unavailable. Once live, and if you meet the PLU staking requirements, then you will immediately have access to them.
Level 4—Bonus Perks (2,000 PLU)
This Bonus Level doesn’t include any additional brands, but it does include numerous additional benefits that make it highly attractive. Unlike Levels 1-3, you must stake PLU continuously for 21-days in order to unlock the benefits of Level 4.
Pluton Rewards - Level 4 users will receive an additional 1% in cashback at all 60+ million merchants that the Visa Plutus Card is accepted at. The +1% comes on top of the usual 3% Pluton Reward bringing the total up to 4%.
Note: This 4% Pluton Reward comes on top of your Perk Reward, the percentage of which varies by brand.
Free Premium Account - Staking PLU continuously for 21-days will unlock one month of Plutus Premium which is typically priced at £/€9.99. At the end of the month, if you have been staking PLU continuously for 21-days prior, then the one month of free Premium will be renewed.
Continued (2,500 PLU)
This is a continuation of Level 4 but with slightly higher staking requirements so unlock its benefits.
Pluton Perks - Level 4 users will receive an additional 1% in fiat cashback on all previously unlocked Perks.
Note: This 4% Pluton Reward comes on top of your cashback Perk Reward, the percentage of which varies by brand.
Bonus Buying PLU - Level 4 users can purchase PLU on the PlutusDEX and earn an additional 3% on top of it. The newly purchased PLU becomes immediately available within the Available section of your Pluton Dashboard, whereas, the 3% bonus will be visible in the Pending section for the usual 45-day verification period to prevent people from gaming the system.
Level 5—Bonus Perks (4,000 PLU)
This Bonus Level works similarly to Level 4 and requires you to stake PLU continuously for 21-days in order to unlock the benefits.
Pluton Rewards - Level 5 users will receive an additional 2% in PLU rewards at all 60+ million merchants that the Visa Plutus Card is accepted at. The +2% comes on top of the usual 3% Pluton Reward bringing the total up to 5%.
Note: This 5% Pluton Reward comes on top of your Perk Reward, the percentage of which varies by brand.
Pluton Perks - Level 5 users will receive an additional 2% in fiat cashback on all previously unlocked Perks.

Free Pro Account - Staking PLU continuously for 21-days will unlock one month of Plutus Pro which is typically priced at £/€16.99. The same calculation for eligibility from Level 4 applies here.
Bonus Buying PLU - Level 5 users can purchase PLU on the PlutusDEX and earn an additional 8% on top of it. The same rules that apply to Level 4 are applied here (i.e. bonus PLU is in Pending status for 45 days).

As you can see, the rewards quickly stack up as you rise through the ranks to offer substantial savings.
FAQ
Do Conditions Apply to Each Perk?
Yes, each brand has its own set of rules. The specifics of which can be found from clicking on the brand and viewing the side panel.
Category
Some rewards only apply to select categories of a brand (e.g. Men's Clothing). The categories from which you can earn rewards at will be clearly displayed under the brand in your Perks Dashboard.
Pay-Out
The reward pay-out amount varies from brand to brand and depends on what Level you have reached in Plutus Perks.
Duration of Pay-Out
Currently, our affiliate partnered brands each have their own verification process before any fiat cashback can be awarded. The duration of this verification process varies greatly. Whilst PLU is paid out once the transaction is verified (typically within 3 days), the cashback from retailers can take several months to arrive.
Do the Rewards Apply Online or In-Store?
Pluton Rewards apply to all 60+ million merchants that the Visa Plutus Card is accepted at, whether it’s online or in-store.
Plutus Perks, however, is only available on online purchases that are processed via the links
Is the Staked PLU Locked At Any Point?
No, you are free to transfer or withdraw your PLU at any point. In order to stay true to the decentralised ethos of Plutus, you can stake the PLU from the safety of your personal wallet, meaning no one else has access to the assets and you have 100% control over what you do with them.
However, if you do unstake your PLU, you may lose access to some of your rewards.
How Long Do I Have to Stake PLU For?
Staking sufficient PLU will unlock Level 1-3 Perks immediately. As soon as you meet the staking threshold, you will automatically receive access to the Perks within your Perk Dashboard.
Levels 4-5 require staking of PLU continuously for 21 days. If your staking total drops below the threshold of a Level, the timer will be reset to 0. After 21 days, the Perks will become available within your Perks Dashboard. The 21-day timer starts as soon as you have sufficient PLU staked to meet the threshold.
If My Reward is in Pending, Can I Unstake?
No, if you purchased an item via Perks but the rewards are in Pending status, or have not arrived in your Current Account, then you must continue to stake until they are fully processed and in your possession.
You must continue to stake PLU for the 45-day verification period or the reward will become null and void. As soon as the reward has moved from Pending to Available, you are in the clear.
How Do I Stake PLU?
Plutus will calculate your total PLU holdings across both your Available PLU Balance (earned from spending) within the Pluton Dashboard and any External Wallets you have connected to your Plutus account.
